Leaving Tallahassee for summer vacation usually only has one major downfall for me: the loss of great restaurants. Whether I’m not as experimental with my restaurant selection down south or because my occasional laziness when I’m away from my parent’s home cooking drives me to seek good grub, my conclusion is the same: Tally restaurants rock. Although I only have the satisfaction of calling Tallahassee my home for three years, I’ve done quite a good deal of restaurant exploration thanks to the help of my older, food savvy cousin and my I-can’t-believe-I-used-to-be-a-vegetarian best friend. As it turns out, having an older cousin who has done the restaurant rounds gave me a pretty good leg up when it came to selecting restaurants. As I think back, I realize how grateful I am that he introduced me to so many of my now-favorite restaurants of all time. It was this that inspired my blog project. For you FSU freshman or even you out-of-towners seeking some good, decently priced restaurants in the heart of Florida’s capitol, Tally Grubbin’ is here to point you in the direction of the GOOD, the MEHH, and the BAD. So go ahead, enjoy Tallahassee’s best (or worst- if you’re into that) restaurants and grub on. 🙂
